The Atai Aidoko Ali (AAA) Continuity Group ‎has debuted in Kogi East to further the political aspirations of Chairman Senate Committee of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Senator Atai Aidoko Ali.
A statement signed by the convener of the group, Amedu Edime ‎in Lokoja said the collection of intent form by Aidoko to run for another term as a senator representing Kogi East at the red chamber under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will translate into bumper development in the area of economic, political, social and empowerment of the area.
According to Edime,‎vthe new political pressure group of Senator Atai Aidoko Ali will not only concentrate on the quest to return him to the upper house but to see the need for continuity as of greater advantage compared to a new entrant into the senate race.
He said the return of Aidoko to Senate will ensure the continued social and political development of Kogi East.
The convener advised the entire Igala race to adopt collective bargaining in the selection of the next Kogi East senator, with preference for Atai Aidoko Ali. He argued that in Aidoko a lot of potentials ‎and accelerated government presence in all facets of life will be realised by the people of the area.
“The current senator is a ranking senator. He is tested and trusted ‎having navigated the troubled waters of political and legal crises without distraction, hence, the need to garner more cooperation and support for the request and acceptance by him to re-contest,” he said.
The group promised to synergise with the political associates of the Federal lawmaker to revive the ‘Aidoko Foundation’ that hitherto worked tirelessly to sustain the political ideas and ideals of the senator over the years.
Amedu advised the people of Kogi East to learn from the bitter lessons the people of the area are passing through in the current dispensation, warning on the consequences of doing the contrary.
He submitted that the area cannot afford to continue to concede to the current political slavery of the people.
He described the current Senator, Atai Aidoko Ali, as a good ambassador, a man of high integrity, resilience, humility and candour,‎ promising that he will not let the people of the area down in terms of quality representation.
The convener thanked the senator for accepting to run again. He promised mass mobilisation and a level playing ground in the intra party contest.
