Zango-Daji Begs Gov. Wada to Extend Intra-City Bus Services to Community

Zango-Daji community in Lokoja, Kogi, on Tuesday appealed to the State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada to extend the intra-city bus services to the area to ease transportation problems.

A cross section of members of the community in an appeal in Lokoja, expressed their feelings on the need for the intra-city bus to be extended to them.

Mr Folusho Adebayo, a civil servant said “I am appealing to our Governor to help us to talk to the consultant in charge of intra-city bus to extend their services to our people in Zango-Daji.”

Another resident, Mr Tope Aloko, a civil servant at Federal University, Lokoja, said; “it will be a thing of joy for us if the bus services are extended to us in Zango.”

He noted that majority of people residing in their community are civil servants. “I am therefore imploring the management of Planet Project Nigeria Limited to do their best for us to be part of the benefits.

A community Leader in Zango-Daji community who preferred anonymity commended Governor Idris Wada for the measures being taken to alleviate the sufferings of the people.

He called for the extension of the bus service to commmunities at the outskirts of the capital city and rural areas to all citizens benefit.

NAN reports, the Consultant handling Lokoja intra-city bus services is the Planet Project Nigeria Limited (PPNL).

It would be recalled that Kogi State House of Assembly recently issued a resolution directing the consultant handling the intra-city bus service, Planet Project Nigeria Limited (PPNL) to extend their services to the people of Zango-Daji.

The resolution resulting from a motion moved by Member representing Yagba East Constituency, Hon. Henry Ojuola was in view of the fact that many civil servants resided in the area.
