Yuletide: Omede Felicitates With Kogites, Calls for Objective Praises, Criticism

A former Commissioner for Health in Kogi state, Dr Idris Omede (CIK) has felicitated with the people of the state on the occasion of the Christmas and New Year celebrations as he called on leaders not to derail in their covenant with the people.

According to a press statement he issued on Tuesday, Omede admonished that “as a people, the governed must be steadfast and rational with objective reasoning, praises and criticism as situation demands.”

“What the people need from their leaders are trust, selflessness, commitment, sincerity, honesty, transparency, productivity and accountability. THESE NOW are more important than ever before for the much needed human capacity and infrastructural development THAT ARE critical tools, required and expected for across the board job creation and FOR security of lives and property.

“Our team, Believe Network, believe in power of dialogue and discuss to achieve set goals or objectives on the premise that the leadership in government would give a listening ears to wise counsel for utilization of same,” he said.

Omede, a former President of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), prayed for peace, joy and growth of Kogi state and Nigeria.
