The Administrator of Adavi Local Government, Alh. Ajoge Enesi Abu marked the Christmas festivities by distributing large quantities of various food items to Christain Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other Christians in the Local Government.
In his latest display of genuine concern for the welfare of pis people, the Administrator distributed 300 bags of rice, 100 bags of semovita, Groundnut oil, Salt and Cartons of Maggi.
Speaking at the flag off of the distribution exercise at his residence in Ozuri, the Administrator appreciated the Christians for their support in prayers and in person for Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
He also praised the conduct of the religious faithfuls for their high level of peace and religious tolerance, recalling most especially their peaceful conduct during the recently discovered Islamic carvings on rocks in Nagazi.
Ajoge said the State Governor has ensues that all interest groups are well represented in his administration. There is no marginalising of Christians in the state generally and Adavi LGA in particular as they are well represented in the administration of the council.
He assured the gathered Christians that more will come.
He enjoined them to continue to support the government and charged them to build more on their tolerance for other religions in the local government.
Responding, the CAN Director, National Issues and Social Welfare, Pastor Ezekiek thanked the Administrator for his concern for their welfare.
He gave reassurances of their unflinching support to the Government both at the state and local levels.
It will be recalled that Hon. Ajoge carried out similar acts of magnanimity last year, December 2016.
