According to Jemima, the desire to renovate the Science Laboratory was borne out of concern for the student especially those in the science classes. She observed that there is no way for meaningful teaching of science subjects without a laboratory since they all require practical knowledge.

“Though a graduate of Economics, I looked into the area of need of the students before embarking on the project and I thank God, the college community and the entire Aiyegunle community for their supports throughout the period that the project was on, even to the completion and the commissioning that we have today. I equally want to specially thank Chief Ajisafe, who stood behind me as a pillar of support” she said.

Mallam Saliu who represented the community appreciated the good gesture of the corps member and for positively affecting the lives of the children of the community. He also observed that the college lack teachers, especially in core subject. He therefore appealed to the NYSC Coordinator to please ensure that corps members should be sent to the college as the community is ready to take good care of corps members posted to them.

In the same vein, the college Vice-Principal, Mr. Ogunmolu who represented the college praise copper Jemima for the great thing she has done and that the college is proud of her. He stated that ever since corps members have been posted to the community, none has ever done what copper Jemima has done.

He therefore charged other corps members to follow the good example that she has laid down. The State Coordinator NYSC, represented by Dr. Okparaocha thanked the community for creating enabling environment that permitted the corps member to carry out her desired project. “If the community is not accommodating, it would not been possible for her to carry out such project” he observed.

The state coordinator commended copper Jemima that despite that she was not a science student, yet she saw the need for a science laboratory. He appealed that the structure be maintained to encourage more from others.

He therefore assured the community that in as much as they appreciate the efforts of the NYSC, more corps members will be posted to the college to solve the problem of shortage of teachers.
