Yagba Federal Constituency Coordinator of Ododo Independent Campaign Council (OICC) has described the Director General (Kogi State) of the council, Mustapha Rani Mohammed, as a greedy politician
OICC is a grassroot mobilization group working for the victory of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 11 governorship election in Kogi state.
Reacting to a statement credited to Rani over his purported suspension, the Yagba Federal Constituency Coordinator, Mr. Bamidele Sunday, said he is a committed grassroot politician unlike the Director General who came into Kogi politics with lies and insatiable greed.
Barely one week after the campaign council inaugurated its leaders in Yagba Federal Constituency, Rani rocked the boat with a directive on the purported suspension of the Coordinator over alleged anti-party activities.
However, Bamidele insisted that he is a faithful and dedicated member of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yagba West local government area of Kogi state.
He said available records during the last general elections proved his commitment and loyalty to the party.
“As the former State Coordinator of GYB/ PYB Youth Network, a group that cuts across Kogi State, as well as being the organizer of One Million Peace March scheduled to hold in Abuja on the 16th February 2022 to showcase youth support for the aspiration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello before it was called off on the eve of the program because of appearance of Nnandi Kanu of IPOB in court, it is ridiculous for anyone to question my love and sincerity for the party.
“As the founder of Yagba Solidarity Group, with presence in the 34 wards and 247 polling units across Yagba federal constituency, we mobilized our people for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Sunday Karimi.
“It is on record that I delivered my polling unit to APC in all elections in the last polls. The records are verifiable,” he said.
Bamidele said disagreement between him and Rani began because of donations during the inauguration in Yagba federal constituency.
“He approached the representative of chairman of the occasion to send his pledge to his account, which I questioned.
“Mohammed Rani never contributed any thing towards the program. His claims that he made contributions to OICC Yagba Federal Constituency are pure lies.
“During the rally we organized, he pledged to support feeding expenses of the people from Yagba federal constituency, till today he is yet to fulfil this pledge.
“If Rani cares to know, the total money realized before and after the inauguration was N480,000 and expenditure was N509,880. Mr Mohammed M. Rani should tell the executive of Yagba federal constituency where to get money to give him as requested.”
Bamidele said Rani is just a political jobber who seek money from politicians without reaching out to the followers.
