Yagba East: ADC House of Assembly Candidate Denies Stepping Down Rumour

The House of Assembly candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Yagba East constituency, Abdulnafiu Sule Iroko has debunked rumor making rounds that he has withdrawn from March 9 election.

In a statement made available to Kogireports on Monday, Sule Iroko said the rumour is the handiwork of jittery opponents.

He stated that he is in the race to win and urged Yagba electorate to remain steadfast in their resolute commitment to liberate the constituency.

“I want to make it abundantly clear that I am very much in the race, doing very well and expect, at the end of the day, to emerge as the winner on Saturday, March 9.

“I enjoin the good people of Yagba East and our teeming supporters to ignore this vile rumour and remain focused and steadfast in their course to liberate Yagba East from those who are bent at destroying the existing peace and laid down principle of power rotation and zoning system for their selfish interest.

“Campaign based on calumny and propaganda should stop and let the electorates decide through ballot box. A party that hinge her campaign on propaganda has no place in our society. They should come out clear with what they have achieved over years and what they have for the people of Yagba East for the next four years.

“The people of Yagba East have had enough of their maladministration, nepotism and vision less representation and are desirous of change which by God grace be done peacefully through the ballot box,” he said.
