Yagba APC Critical Stakeholders Endorse Gov. Bello for 2nd Term, Tips Akanle for Senate

Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) from Yagba Federal constituency, on Saturday, endorsed Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for a second term in office.

At a meeting of critical stakeholders of the party in Yagba federal constituency in Isanlu, the leaders called on the state governor to expedite action on on-going state projects in Yagba land.

The meeting presided over by the chairman, elders advisory council of Yagba federal constituency, General Paul Okuntimo (rtd), zoned Kogi West senate seat to Yagba East local government.
Some of the stakeholders observed that Dr. Williams Toyin Akanle stands out among the three aspirants from Yagba East that have signified intentions to contest 2019 Kogi West senate election in Yagba East.
According to them, Dr Williams Toyin Akanle is the most experienced, intelligent, generally acceptable and with intimidating credentials and deemed to be the best candidate for Senate from Yagba East.
The meeting which held at the residence of the Chairman of Yagba East elders advisory council, Engr Lanre Adesina,

was summoned to deliberate and proffer solution on salient issues that is capable of causing disaffection and acrimony among the three local government of the federal constituency in the forth coming general elections.
The stakeholders agreed that the Yagba House of Representatives seat should be zoned to Mopamuro local government.
The zoning agreements, according to the leaders, was based on fairness and equity.
The congress of APC critical stakeholders unanimously endorsed the three administrators in Yagba federal constituency as preferred candidates in the planned Kogi local government elections. The leaders stated that their endorsement of the local government administrators was based on their masses friendly programmes and provision of infrastructures and amenities.
While endorsing President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello for re-election, the stakeholders urged Kogi Governor totake proactive steps in addressing the issue of workers salaries and pensions.

They also appealed to Governor Bello to consult with critical stakeholders in Yagba federal constituency before the

pronouncement of appointments.
The stakeholders meeting was attended by all party executives from wards and local governments in Yagba federal constituency.
