Youths in Yagba Federal constituency of Kogi State have collated 20,000 signatures compelling the Director General, Media and Publicity to Kogi State Governor, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo to contest for the House of Representative slot of the constituency.
The youths under the aegis of Yagba Youths Solidarity Movement said the youths have made up their mind on Fanwo and their is no going back.
Convener of the movement, Otunba Adekolade Bamidele who revealed this yesterday in Lokoja while speaking with newsmen said the group with the hashtag #NoGoingBackOnFanwo4Reps19 begs that Fanwo give a listening ear to their popular demands.
“The people of Yagba have made up their minds, Fanwo please make yours. The people of Yagba want an accessible Rep from 2019; Fanwo has been responsible, responsive and accessible.
“We have collated 20 thousands signatures and still counting. You can defend our interests.
“Our generation believes in you. You have done a lot to promote education and empowerment. Fanwo please come out,” he said.
The group which promised to raise money for him (Fanwo) whom they tagged as the “Chosen one” to purchase the nomination form urged the former Vanguard reporter to quickly provide answer to their request.
“We want to have a Rep who is answerable to us. APC is lucky to have you. They must not waste the opportunity. Share this until Fanwo responds.”
“Yagba needs you, Yagba Wants You, the time is now! Fanwo is the Chosen One.”
Fanwo hailed from Takede -Ide in Amuro district of Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State.
Stakeholders of the party had last year December zoned the House of Reps position to Mopamuro council area.
