The desire to ameliorate the challenges our people are facing is the chief reason we organise Diche Foundation programmes on a yearly basis.

The chairman of the foundation, Dr Tim Nda Diche made this known during a chat with newsmen.

He explained that the situation of infrastructural decay he met upon his return from United Kingdom was heart-breaking.
“The situation we met was nothing good to write home about. School buildings were dilapidated, no good clinics, people had go far to get water, parents cannot afford their children’s school fees, roads leading to grassroots were in terrible shape.
“We deviced means to ameliorate the challenges our people are facing; every year we try our best to ensure Diche Foundation meet up with some challenges like renovation of dilapidated schools, setting up laboratories, libraries, payments of school and examination fees like WAEC, NECO and JAMb, to relive the long-suffering parents.
“We also look into the communal needs of the people by providing them with good reticulated boreholes, with overhead tanks for proper distribution of water. With this, our people don’t have to go far in search of water. We also provided clinics, good security and grade roads to make them motorable.
“Just last year. we embark on 15 community development projects. This year, we embarked on 10 multi-million community development projects to ensure our people have good lives. We have played significant roles in the area of security of lives and properties. For example, we built a police station in Adum-woiwo and another police station along the road that links Bassa to Dekina at Gboloko to curb terror in Bassa-Dekina respectively.
“We have demonstrated great philanthropic acts by providing our people with resources for small scale businesses. We distributed bikes, sewing machines, foams and finance to enable them start up,” he said.
He assured his people of continuity in execution of more people-oriented projects and programmes.
