As the APC state house of assembly primary election draws nearer, some people in Yagba West local government have been saying things to disparage Oshaloto Yemisi, the APC leading aspirant for Yagba West state constituency. However, my joy is that no one has ever mentioned that she is not fit or capable of representing the local government at the state house of assembly.
Yagba West does not need to compensate any individual or community with a position at the Kogi state house of assembly at a crucial time like this. It would be regrettable if Yagba West local government do not elect a credible and competent person next year to represent her at the state house of assembly.
All we need in Yagba West right now is someone with integrity and capacity, someone who understands the legislative duties and what the people really need.
We demand the right person, and that person is Yemisi. She has what it takes and I am confident she will make a good representative.
Let us support Yemisi Oshaloto. Yagba West deserves the best; the best we will have!
