When I read the 14 paragraph piece written by my learned friend who also double as my pen colleague, I got baffled the more I digest each point, just on the mere fact that he only deployed sentiments to drive home virtually all his submissions so as to justify his premeditated ideas to misrepresent and misinform the good people of Kogi East, where he hailed.
Let me always correct the impression that Aidoko 16 years been peddled as representative of Kogi East is a complete misinformation, as he is not a fifth timer at the Senate, but his current attempt is for the “Third time” and not “Fifth time”, as the other terms was spent to represent Ankpa Federal constituency at House of Representatives.
I’m worried that the writer was not aware that Kogi East senator provided standard clinics, built schools and public toilets along with scholarships to students, who are indigenes from his federal constituency. The projects are evidenced in the three local governments he represented.
For how long shall we continue to bulge our readers with the senators under performance, when his projects are already in the public domain for his people to assess critically themselves.
With over 100 projects translated to electricity, health, education, empowerment, skill acquisition and training along with vocational experience bequeathed his people will be anything to go by.
Funny enough, the writer deliberately under reported senator Aidoko from his own constituency to run him down, as he shied away from the assignment his colleagues did their best for public consumption, when the senator presented a motion of urgent national importance on the herdsmen attack on not only Omala his local government, but Dekina and Bassa, the neighbouring local area councils. Not only that, he was the first public officer that sent relief materials, with appeal to NEMA through the senate that made available relief materials to the people. So why are we misinforming and instigating the people of Kogi East against the senator?
Two traditional rulers from this area, the Ojogba of Ife and Ege-una Oganenigu were aware of the giant efforts of the senator.
Are we feigning commiseration that senator Aidoko convened stakeholders of Igala extraction in Abuja over the attacks, plans to create cattle colonies in the area and inclusion of fulanis in the Igala traditional council? They wont, for mere whimsical tendencies.
Kogi east senator had six bills for the short period he returned to the senate, presented and supported several motions and bills, and may wish to clarify the veracity of this information from the senate were he is under reporting his own constituency.
Projects and development had been the priority and indices of advancement, which the senator was not averse, by attracting federal government presence through the citing of NABDA Aquatic zonal office at Idah, took over the construction of the site and their equipment to attract the employment of our teeming youths and capacity building along with training.
For the progress and development of Kogi east, it will be an exercise in futility to discourage the people to no avail, by refusing to let the people of the area know the achievement of the senator as the last primaries of PDP was in line with the party’s guidelines and INEC provision, so I don’t know the angle the writer was exploring to soothe his position.
You may have by omission or commission name call the senator of any sort, but for heavens sake, they have not been any write up accusing the senator of electoral fraud,as the new name was contrived by the writer for the fun of it.
It is high time to retire the evidenced and glaring opposition to the progress of kogi east, and its people, as the next move is not about Aidoko alone, but that of the masses.
My joy is the writter had also tested the murky waters of politics just recently, it will be germane to develop the skin of promotion of our peoples well being, rather than innate personal dislikes for the peoples senator.
Kogi easterners have resolved the senator’s return to the red chamber in 2019, so it is a forgone conclusion the new era of pen oppositors to sheathe their swords.
