Koton Karfe youths have expressed disappointment in the representatives they have been voting in Kogi West senatorial district in the last 12 years.
A youth leader, Seriki Samari made this known in Gegu on Saturday when the senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi paid an unscheduled visit to Chikara, Koto and Gegu communities in Koton Karfe local government area of Kogi State.
He bemoaned the lackluster performance of elected representatives in the area who have nothing to show for their years in office.
Samari described Omoluabi as youthful and of their own generation who will change the face of representation. He pledged to mobilize his contemporaries to support, campaign and vote for the young senatorial candidate.
The youths and women at various polling units in these communities expressed their readiness to go with Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi in the coming general election.
At another location in the Gegu township, women in their numbers under the”Let them Say Women Association” spoke glowingly of the confidence, eloquence and readiness of Omoluabi to rescue them and their children from the shackles of bad representations they have experienced over the years. They promised to give their total support to Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi.
While arriving Koto township, Omoluabi was received by the ADC party executives of Koton Karfi LGA, after which they went into crucial meeting that lasted for more than an hour. During the meeting, Omoluabi thanked the party officials for their support during the last primary election as he promised not to disappoint them for their support.
He described the perennial flooding that destroys farm, properties and valuables in Koto land as unacceptable, he said it is an evidence of bad representation and promised to use legislative lobby to find lasting solution to the challenge.
