The Kogi State Deputy Governor,Yomi Awoniyi, was full of praises and thanks to the Almighty God for the safety he granted the State Governor, Capt Idris Wada, who was yesterday involved in a ghastly motor accident along Ajaokuta-Lokoja road.
In a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Awoniyi thanked those who have assisted greatly in their support towards the state in its trying moments particularly during the auto crash.
The Deputy Governor particularly thanked those who through their presence, phone calls, prayers and concern assisted in ensuring that the Governor is speedily recovered.
The Statement thanked God that the Governor is now hale and hearty, praised God for his speed and level of recovery.
Awoniyi also in the statement commiserated with the family of the Late ADC, Mohammed Idris who died in the crash, describing him as a fine gentle man and a gallant officer whose services would be mostly missed by the state government.
Awoniyi, urged the people to remain calm as the situation is now under control,assuring that very soon the State Governor Capt Idris Wada, will personally reach out through calls and several other means to the people, to thank them for their prayers and show of concern.
