The President of Kogi Central Forecast Group, Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem on Monday 2nd November 2015 maintained that the civil servants will not know the extent of corruption Idris Wada is into, this is governor who can’t pay the salary civil servants both at Local and State level rather in percentage but paid N400,000:00k for each delegate for his primary election to emerged the candidate of PDP.

How many time Capt. Idris Wada travel out of Nigeria for medical check-up after his primary election, this show the governor is mentally sound but have tactic the of corrupting the State.

Wada corruption can’t be quantifying the magnitude of it now until he leave office because this is governor that contract project for himself and his cabinet without being execute and get way with the money.

If not let him come out and defends the questions posted to him by Dr. Tom Ohikere, Head of Media and Publicity Prince Abubakar Audu Governorship Campaign “Governor Wada lied over bailout fund.

The governor of Kogi state, Idris Wada has in his characteristic manner lied to the people of the state especially the TUC, NLC and others over the circumstances surrounding the bailout fund promised by the federal Government. Wada, from our investigations failed to apply but lied to the whole world that he had applied but was denied by the CBN and the Federal government .He even at a point lied that it was Audu Abubakar that advised the federal government not to grant him the loan.

Our investigations, revealed that Wada had tactically refused to apply for the loan because of the backlog of loans arrears the state is already enmeshed in. The federal government bailout fund was initiated by president Buhari after the cash strapped states like Kogi, approached the federal government for assistance because they owned their respective civil servants many months of salary arrears.

The loan is repayable at the interest rate of 9% over a 20 years period and it is specifically designed for paying the backlog of salaries.

As at 18 September 2015, 24 out of the 27 that applied for the bailout fund had received about # 222bn. Only Borno, Bayelsa and Cross River are yet to receive their own.

The question is why is Wada lying and claimed he has applied, when did he apply? Where is the resolutions of the state Executive Council authorizing the borrowing? When was the meeting held and who were the people in attendance including minutes of the meeting? Where is the document by the state house of Assembly consenting to the loan as required by the law setting up the fund? Where is the issuance of irrevocable standing payment order from the ministry of justice of the state to the federal government guaranteeing a timing repayment at source from the state federation account allocation? Let Wada answer these questions.

The release of the 338bn bailout fund by the federal government followed the restructuring of the state government debts into bonds by the debt management office at an interest rate of 14.83% of the value but Kogi is already enmeshed in several loans and could not guarantee the payment of bailout fund and instead of telling the truth, Wada began to lie to the people. What a shame!

We want to use this opportunity to advise Kogites especially the workers to disregard in its entirety the arrays of lies being put together by governor Wada and his agent to deceive the people and cover his failures. Because we read a bulletin no 02 on N50.8 billion bailout issued by NLC/TUC/JNC alleging silence from both the CBN and the federal government over ‘’even three weeks after our last press conference. In addition, we are equally not comfortable with the position the CBN categorized Kogi state in the lead story on page 30 of the Punch Newspaper of Thursday 29th0ctobe,2015. The bulletin wrote.

The Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Mr Ibrahim Mu’azu, and other sources at both the CBN and DMO have revealed to us that Wada did not apply for bailout fund.”

I then call on both the State and Local Government Civil servants to act fast to request for evidence of applying bailout from CBN and Federal Government before Capt. Idris Wada misleading Civil Servants against Federal government by his tactics of corrupting the State more and asked Kogi Civil Servants to stay at home before his election so that he use this last month Allocation to finance this election.

Kogi Central Forecast Group (KCFG) wants the evidence from Capt. Idris Wada to show the whole world the evidence required for the bailout stated above by Dr. Tom Ohikere.

May God save Kogi State from bad leaders!

Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem

President: Kogi Central Forecast Group.
