Governor Idris Wada has appointed Mallam Abdul Adama as the new Sole Administrator for the state-owned Kogi United and Confluence Queens Football Clubs.

The appointment of Abdul Adama to oversee the affairs of both clubs was endorsed following the dissolution of the management of the state-owned clubs.

According to a statement signed by Jacob Edi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, the appointment of Mallam Abdul Adama, who is currently the Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership (PPP) to the governor, takes immediate effect.

The statement explains that the dissolution became necessary in order to inject life into the two teams for better performance.

The Kogi state governor further directed the state Ministry of Sports to take proper inventory of the two clubs and hand over to the new Sole Administrator immediately.

He charged Abdul Adama to evolve a better strategic approach to turn around the fortunes of the two teams by institutionalizing a sustainable structure that will make the two teams the pride of the state in sports and youth development.

The Governor Wada reiterated his determination to uplift sports in the state and urged the people of the state to continue to support the two clubs.

Mallam Abdul Adama was the pioneer founder and chairman of Bukola babes FC (now ABS FC), a team he propelled from Amateur to Premiership stage.
