I write this tribute with the deepest respect, honour, heartfelt grief, and a sense of great loss of losing a great father figure.
Though, my heart ache after your departure from this sinful world, yet I will forever remember your unwavering commitment to family bond, unity, growth and prosperity of our beloved family and Owe community at large.
If my memory doesn’t fail me, in the early 70’s, you make remarkable progress and impact defending our family cause. All these laudable efforts are yielding dividends today to the glory of God.

With exactitude, you were a great father with so much patience, pure love and unfathomable forgiveness.
I can remember vividly each time you visit Kabba, you will always say – ” Dada, let us go to Otu – Egunbe. “
With all humility, I say goodbye to an indispensable patriot who served his people with courage, humaneness, and a deep understanding of the people’s needs.
You remain our hero in Omodo family both from your paternal and maternal side.
May your kind and gentle soul rest peacefully in the busom of the Lord almighty in Jesus mighty name, amen!
Omo Baba m’ ogun mafe , ma k’ ewo boju, Omo gha l’ ayin ke Egunbe…
O’ daabo, Odigbose…orun ire re ooo.
– High Chief Ayodele Dada Matthew, aka Okono. Baale, Odo – Ero, Otu of Otu – Egunbe
