On a felicitating mood for Kogi State Governor over recent justification victory in Nov 11 gubernatorial election by the Tribunal court, Comrade Segun congratulates him describing the judgement as unsurprising and uncompromising.
The remarks was made on 29 May by the North central youth leader Segun Babayomi Amupitan, after Gov Ododo swept all challenges posed at him in the tribunal cases by the candidates of SDP, PRP and AA.
He said that “the victory of Gov Ododo is a victory for the good people of Kogi state who voted massively for him during the governorship election. Therefore, I remained unsurprised about the tribunal ruling because cases filed by other opponents have no credibilities to submerge the positions of the law.
“I have taken my time to writing extensively encouraging allegedly aggrieved guber candidates from other political parties to masculate grievances, and eloping present administration in ensuring good governance flow atop.
“Because at present Kogi is undergoing real transformations in the areas of humanitarian services delivery, consolidation infrastructural development and innovative reformation policy, reserving capacity for positive governance. Hence Gov Ododo needs stability and focus rather than distraction in order to pilot Kogi ship to a safe bank.”
Segun further said that “Once again I am urging all the aggrieved individuals and parties to shelve their swords and also, save the money wasting in pursuing the unrealistic goals. Should they lacked what to do with its they should channeled it to capacity building at the grassroots because, Gov Ododo victory defined divine arrangements that cannot be dis-arranged by any opposing forces.
“Going further length challenging his victory will be unproductive because, the soil is infertile for the species of crops they wanted to sow and therefore cannot germinate.”
Segun concluded that unless critics of Gov Ododo are enemies of good governance of Kogi state otherwise, collaboration and cooperation with current state government is desiderata of them at this juncture.
