Senator Muhammed Ohiare, whose eligibility to contest the March 28th Senatorial General Election is being questioned at the Kogi State National and House of Assembly election tribunal sitting at Lokoja is reportedly being in a state of confusion and setback over losing his seat as a senator representing Kogi Central.
As earlier reported that, the party (APC) primary election which was said to have produced Ohiare as the party flagbearer to run for the March 28th Senatorial election was inconclusive. Therefore, Ohiare had unlawfully represented the Party APC at the senatorial election.
Report also confirmed that the Tribunal sitting at Lokoja on 21st of August 2015 admitted three evidences as exhibits against Ohiare candidature and eligibility to run under the party platform.
Independent sources also revealed that Ohiare and supporters are in a state of confusion and worried over the Tribunal decision to admit the evidences as exhibits.
Finally, as the trial continues and the tribunal look deeply into all the three exhibits, Ohiare fate hangs in the balance and remain uncertain.
The Party APC was said not to have properly and lawfully conducted any primaries in the state to elect the party three senatorial candidate to represent the party in the general senatorial election as required by law.
Whether all three alleged APC Senators in the state will be able to keep their seat or not still remain uncertain, including Hon. Dino Melaye who was said to be running from pillar to post keep his seat as Sen. Smart Adeyemi is also expected to unseat him at the same tribunal. Many unexpected scenarios is expected to unfold in a couple of weeks as the trial continues.
