A murder case has been reported to have occurred in Ejule, Ofu Local government area of Kogi State where a traditional ruler, Simon Shaibu was gunned down and killed.
Simon Shaibu alias Agige had been a victim of kidnap over chieftaincy tussle in the community.
Eyewitness stated that the gunmen numbering five approached the point where shaibu was holding meeting with some members of his community and singled him.
All attempts to speak with the state police public relations officer (PPRO), William Ayah ASP proved abortive as he was said to have travelled out of town on official assignment.
