The board chairman, Freedom Faith Academy, Lokoja, Bishop John Ibenu, has admonished Nigerians to shun corruption and walk in integrity.

Bishop Ibenu gave the admonition during the 2021/2022 graduation, speech and prize giving day of the Freedom Faith Secondary School in Lokoja on Thursday.

The clergyman warned that regardless of material and academic acquisitions, if the heart is not pure, it will eventually destroy all that the hand and head had gathered.

“Keep your heart with all diligence and the fear of God.

“As we graduate this set, I want us to take with us my focus in three areas of your life. Integrity of the hand; let your hand (skills) be sufficient for you. Integrity of the head; knowledge with good ethical value. Integrity of the heart; character and moral value.

“The reason we set up Freedom Faith Academy is to raise men and women of integrity as our own way of contributing to the society by giving your children an upright footing. In so doing, we are not only focusing on educating the head but building the heart.

“As you came to school, we educated your mind and your head to reason and apply knowledge. IN addition, we taught you the fear of God. If you honour God, He will honour you.

“As you go, our prayer and spirit go with you. May your future be great, may you be mighty in the earth and may you be pillars of your family and the nation,” he said.

In his welcome address, the Director of Schools, Sir James Achor, said the school has contributed to the educational development of the state.

Achor said the school has graduated several sets of well trained and disciplined student who are currently doing well in various higher institutions of learning across the world.

“Our WASSCE and NECO/SSCE results have been wonderful with all our students performing excellently in all their subjects.

“To my beloved graduants, note that success will never lower its standard to accommodate you, rather, you have to raise your standard to achieve it,” he said.

Achor urged parents and guardians who desire sound, moral and qualitative education backed with discipline and fear of God to bring their children and wards to Freedom Faith Academy.

The Proprietress, Rev (Mrs) Margaret Ibenu, urged parents to plan and create time for their children, teaching, training and having fun with them.

The head girl of the graduating class, Joel Lillian, thanked God and their teachers for the successful completion of a phase in their academic pursuits.
