I shall continue to hold on to this mandate to His own glory. It is not good to give up easily. If you have not received a contrary message from Almighty Allah, don’t give up such mandate no matter the situation, no matter the sentiments people will throw up.
This is why I have not deterred despite all they have done to me, excommunicated me. All they do is to be writing petition here and there, once you tell them the truth, they will start writing petition against you.
Let us not promote sectionalism, disunity, intolerance, hatred, falsehood or the malicious abuse of political opponents. I’m optimistic that with the cooperation of all law abiding citizens of this noble Loaders Association, our commitment to have a peaceful and violence – free association will be actualised.
I do not believe in violence and neither do I call for or support the idea of an armed struggle. I’m a man of peace and like Sir Winston Churchill, the United Kingdom’s greatest Prime Minister, once said I believe “Jaw jaw is better than war war”. I do not subscribe to the logic of force and instead I believe in the force of logic.
You all are aware of my sound activities and improvements in the association since my accession to the post of Chairman of this noble association. It is difficult to recount all the achievements of the association since I took over the leadership of the association.But for the sake of records I shall mention a few here.
The warehouse is the visible image of the association : The warehouse which you now see, stands in name and design, and is an eloquent evidence of the part we are playing over the issue of unity among us.
I have voluntarily given financial aid yet unexcelled to uplift the association in the interest of all and I settled the misunderstanding between our members caused by politics and remove the association’s name from party politics.
I’m still doing all that is humanly possible to foster unity, love and understanding among the youths from Igalamela/Odolu LGA of Kogi state. My experience, integrity, liberality and capability to lead have never been in doubt.
The solidarity of the entire members is upper most in mind and this they know that with my ability tact, intelligence and sense of administration, I lead the members under one banner to the promised land, happiness and prosperity.
The raising of funds and contribution to a dignified status and many other achievement. May the Almighty Allah give me the wisdom, tolerance and ability to carry out this onerous duty of solidarity among us all. Ameen.
Lastly, leadership is not a bed of roses and to succeed you must be long – suffering, tolerant, and submissive to the wishes of the people. I pray to Almighty Allah to give me the wisdom and courage to breast the tide.
