The Deprived People of Ajaokuta Constituency Will Be My Focus- PDP House of Assembly Candidate

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ajaokuta state constituency, for 2019 House of Assembly election, Haruna Muhammed has promised to fight poverty, deprivation  and under development in the area.
This was contained In his acceptance speech to delegates after he was returned unopposed in the just concluded primary election of the party. Which was made available to journalists in Lokoja.
While thanking party members for their support and confidence in his ability to represent them, he said those who are deprived of basic needs will be his major focus.
“Distinguished party leaders, honourable delegates, members of the press, observers, distinguished ladies and gentlemen. I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination as the candidate of our great Party, PDP, for the position of House of Assembly to represent the good people of Ajaokuta constituency.
“Today, my nomination is unopposed. This is not because there are no competent person to challenge me but it simply signify the confidence the entire members of our party,PDP, reposed in me. I really appreciate this gesture. I promised that I will not fail you.
“I will say what I will do. I will honor our people with the truth, and nothing else.
“I want to seize this rare opportunity to first and foremost thank the Almighty God, the most merciful and beneficent. I also thank our highly respected leader, Hon. Ado Moses Okino, who has stood by me through thick and thin. God will continue to bless you. My appreciation goes to the delegates, PDP supporters and our party leaders and Executives.
“I have a message for all of  the people of Ajaokuta LGA: The high level of poverty and suffering that today afflicts our Local Government will soon and I mean very soon come to an end.
“As a legislator, if given the opportunity, will formulate law that will bring a dramatic reduction in the rate of unemployment, poverty and diseases ravaging our people.
“Over the past three years and half, most of our people have lost their jobs, they are abandon by those people they voted for to represent them at the State and National Assemblies. Our people can no longer feed or take adequate care of their families, they cannot buy essential drugs to treat common malaria, our hospitals are not functional, workers are not paid their monthly salaries, the bad state of our roads has become a death trap. This cannot continues!
“My message is that things have to change and they have to change soonest. Every day I wake up determined to deliver a better life for the people all across our Local Government that had been ignored, neglected and abandoned.
“I have visited the sick, orphan, widows and laid-off workers, and the communities badly treated by the harsh economic policy of the government in the cause of my campaign. Their situation is worrisome that demands urgent attention.
“These are the forgotten men and women, and they are forgotten now, but they will not be forgotten long. These are people who work hard but no longer have a voice. I am your voice. Believe in me and come out enmass to vote for me come 2019, irrespective of your political affiliation, to bring the desirable change to our dear Local Government,” he maintained.
