Tenure Extension: Ogbeni Oni-Sunday Congratulates Yagba East Administrator

A youth leader and grassroot politician in Kogi, Hon David Oni-Sunday, has congratulated the Administrator of Yagba East Local Government Area, Hon. Abdulrasaq Ijagbemi Asiru, over his tenure elongation in office, describing it as a well deserved gesture.
Oni-Sunday gave the congratulatory message in a press statement he made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday.
He said that the Administrator’s accomplishments in less than two years in office with the execution of various projects, stressing that his hard work had made great impacts and positive impressions on the people of Yagba east.
According to Oni-Sunday, the administrator has judiciously deployed the little resources available for the Council to complete many abandoned projects and execution of new ones, and at the same time improving the well being of the people especially the downtrodden.
“Our Administrator deserves the tenure elongation because he has performed brilliantly well in the area of infrastructural development, provision of water facilties; sinking of motorized borehole in communities across the local government areas, security, renovation and upgrade of the LG Secretariat to a standard and befitting one.
“Hon Asiru is a leader per excellence; his humility, honesty, simplicity and leadership style has endeared him to the heart of the people especially at the grassroots; we are indeed proud of his achievements in all aspects and for his credible leadership.
“The administrator has continued to make the welfare of the people of Yagba east his topmost priority by reaching out to the less privileged, widows, women and youth empowerment programmes especially in agriculture”, he said.
Oni-Sunday, however urged the administrator not to relent in his efforts to improving the standard of living of the people irrespective of the daring oppositions who did not mean well for the good people of Yagba East, saying the extension of his administration was a reward for hard work and a call for more commitment to service.
He commended His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the members of Kogi State House of Assembly, for considering Hon Ijagbemi and other LG administrators worthy for continuity in office.
Oni-Sunday also commended the governor and his entire cabinet, for their landmark achievements in all sectors of the economy in spite the numerous challenges that have bedeviled the state for decades.
He, therefore urged the people in the LGA to continue to give their unalloyed support to the Administrator in order to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy under the new direction government both at local and the state level.
