Member representing Kabba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Teejay Yusuf, has expressed grief over the death of Pa Timothy Owoniyi, father of Obaro of Kabba.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, Yusuf it is very painful and sad that Pa Timothy Owoniyi has gone to be with his maker when his prayers, counsel and emotional support are most needed.
The statement read:
“On behalf of the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, I wish to express our heartfelt condolences to His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, the paramount traditional ruler of Kabba and the Chairman, Okun Traditional Council, and his siblings as well as the entire Owoniyi family over the home calling of their patriarch, Pa Timothy Owoniyi, which sad event occurred on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at Ile Ife, Osun state.
“No doubt, it is very painful and sad that Pa Timothy Owoniyi has gone to be with his Maker and Creator at a time when his prayers, counsel and emotional support are most needed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi and his siblings in their respective calling, careers and endeavors.
“But as mere mortals, I urge His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, his siblings and the entire Owoniyi family to take solace in the fact that, God gives and takes; whenever He wills. Also, they should be comforted that whilst Papa was alive, he lived a most fulfilling life anchored on love, compassion, hard work, sincerity, and selfless service to God and humanity.
“I pray that God Almighty will grant Papa eternal rest in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, I pray that as God grant His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, his siblings and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, He will continually comfort everybody, Amen.”
