An international non governmental organization, Standup for Women Society (SWS) has announced dates for its conference on insecurity.
The President of SWS, Barr. Deborah Ijadele-Adetona, in a statement on Wednesday, said the conference aims to create a safe space for women to share their experience, challenges and triumphs in the face of insecurity through keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops.
With the theme “women and insecurity: reality, challenges, call to action”, the conference will take place at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, Imo State from 11th to 14th September.
“This impactful event brings together women from diverse backgrounds to address the pressing issues of insecurity and its far reaching effects on their lives.
“Attendees will gain valuable insights, practical tools and supportive community to help them navigate and overcome insecurity.
“We strive to create a world where women can thrive without fear of insecurity,” she said.
The keynote speakers are: Hon. Justice Alma Eluwa, Dr Favour Ugwuanyi and Chinelo Adaora Emeghara (Esq).
SWS is an organization advocating for women’s rights and total development.
