A Non Governmental Organization, Sunday Bala Oma Foundation, celebrates her 2nd Annual Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Day of Peace.

In a press statement issued to news men in Jos, the Plateau State Capital, the Founder, Comrade Sunday Bala Oma described this year’s celebration as “worthwhile”.

Though the anniversary was celebrated on a low key due to the hardship being faced by fellow Nigerians. He reiterated his organization’s commitment to Honouring Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR) every 31st March of every year as long as life shall last.

He described Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as a man of peace and the relative peace being enjoyed today was founded upon his good intention to concede defeat in 2015 that saw the emergence of this current administration.

In his words; “Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has laid the foundation not just for the peace being enjoyed by fellow Nigerians, but the whole of African continent are also feeling the impact, where we have seen other African leaders followed his footsteps to concede defeat thereby, leading to peaceful transfer of power from one democratically elected President to the other”.

Mr. Oma further stated that the past two years has seen Dr. Goodluck Jonathan accrued to himself several honours on the international scene and has since been involved in peace building activities globally.

Comrade Sunday Bala Oma reiterates his organization’s commitment to continually advocate for peace, good governance and qualitative education in Nigeria and Africa at large.

He enjoins all fellow citizens to embrace and emulate Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s peace initiative for there cannot be any meaningful development in an atmosphere of anarchy and prejudice.
