The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Job Creation and SMEs Development, Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman has assured the people of Ajaokuta Local Government of quality representation and grassroot involvement in the policies and activities of the state government.
He gave the assurance on Monday 27th March, 2017 after attending the 8-day prayer of the Late Alh Usman Uru Akaba, the Idu of Ebiya, who until he joined his ancestors was the Traditional Ruler of the Ebiya community in Ajaokuta.
Prince Onyekehi who also visited other traditional rulers, youths, women groups and other stakeholders to intimate them on the progress of the Yahaya Bello led administration, urged the people to be patient with the government, stating that the better days are here.
While thanking the community leaders for their continuous support and prayers for the government, he promised to relay their messages across to the governor on their appeal for electricity, portable water and job opportunities for the unemployed youths to reduce poverty in the land.
“His Excellency has declared state of emergency on agricultural development, and I’m also a member of the 11-man steering committee to implement agriculture programmes and projects of New Direction,” he said.
While assuring the people of Ajaokuta that the developmental plan on agriculture will empower existing local farmers and those interested in farming for mechanised farming, he reiterated his commitment to ensuring that his constituents are captured in the development strides of the government, promising frequent updates on the activities of his office towards job creation for the unemployed Kogi youths.
