Subsidy Removal: Kogi Govt to Commence Distribution of Palliatives Thursday

Kogi State Government has announced that it will share palliatives to citizens to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.

In a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, in Lokoja on Wednesday, the state government said the distribution shall take place on Thursday at the ultra modern Mohammadu Buhari Square by 10am.

Fanwo stated clerly that the palliatives are for all Kogites, irrespective of political, ethnic or religious affiliations in line with the intent of the Federal Government and the policy direction of the Kogi State Government under the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.

“We wish to profoundly appreciate the Federal Government under the leadership of our dear President, HE Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who deemed it fit to ameliorate the temporary hardship occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy,” he said.

Fanwo said the state government has also added its own share to achieve the humanitarian aim of President Tinubu.

He urged leaders across the board to ensure that all Kogites are carried along in the distribution of the palliatives.
