On behalf of the good people of Ayegunle Gbede Community, I appeal to good spirited individuals, groups, non-governmental organizations, member representing Ijumu Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon.Victor Adewale Omofaiye, the Commissioner of Education and Kogi State Government to urgently overhaul and reconstruct Ijumu Local Government Secondary School, Ayegunle Gbede.
The deplorable condition of the school has subjected students and staffs to untold hardship.
Ijumu Local Government Secondary School was built in the year 1948 but due to maladministration of the past PDP led government, the school is in a deplorable condition.
Hard times are ahead if nothing is done to cushion the difficulties being experienced in the school.
Although, today, 17th September, 2018 as the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government, I directed my Chief of Staff and two other Special Advisers alongside with the Reagent of Ayegunle Gbede to go on an on spot assessment. After reading the report, I will submit same to all relevant authorities and will do what we can as a Local Government.
There’s no gainsaying that education is the bedrock of our society.
