Shiru Urges Peaceful Co-existence as Muslims Mark Eid el-Kabir

The Administrator of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Shiru Lawal has called for peaceful co-existence among the residents of the area as Muslim marks Eid el-Kabir festival in Lokoja.
In a Sallah message to the people of the Lokoja Local Government in particular and Kogi State in general, the Administrator requested residents of the area to continue to eschew bitterness and live in harmony with themselves, irrespective of their religious, ethnic and party affiliations.
The administrator urged Muslims to abide by the lesson of the festival by always emulate the obedience quality displayed by Prophet Ismail, which according to him prompted the celebration.
He assured the people of the Lokoja Local Government area, of his determination to continue to offer purposeful leadership, devoid of sentiment of any form and urged them to continue keep faith in his administration.
He commended the Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi III OON and Governor Yahaya Bello for maintaining peace and offering purposeful leadership in the state.
Hon. Shiru also commended security agents in the area for working hard to maintain the existing peace being enjoyed by his people.
