Kogi Patriotic Group (KPG), has urged Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello to face the myriads of challenges confronting his government and leave re-election of Federal lawmakers to the electorates.
In a press statement signed by KPG’s image maker, Abdul Abdul, the group described comments credited to Bello on re-election of Federal lawmakers from Kogi state as laughable and shameful.
He said Governor Bello, who cannot install a ward councilor or local government chairman, lacks political experience to talk about the re-election of Senators and members of House of Representatives from the state.
“Governor Bello’s primary task at the moment is to face the myriads of challenges confronting his unpopular government. He should be pre-occupied with how to pay workers and pensions who are being owed about two years salaries and pensions. He should leave re-election of federal lawmakers to the electorates.
“He never contested as APC candidate or win any election in Kogi but was installed owing to collusion of Federal authorities, INEC and judicial rascality.
“It is befuddling that a governor who cannot install a ward councillor or local government chairman is boasting about the re-election of Federal lawmakers who are the mirror of the defaced, decapitated and dilapidated state owing to his maladministration.
“We are not speaking for the Federal lawmakers but the positive impact of all of them, in terms of lawmaking and oversight functions, surpasses the inefficient, inhuman administration of Governor Bello.
“We are not unaware of Yahaya Bello’s desire to impose Federal lawmakers on Kogi people in 2019, but he has forgotten that the electorates’ desire to vote him out as Kogi governor is a concluded arrangement by the people,” he said.
The group reassured Bello that the re-election bids of the Federal lawmakers, who intend to return to the lower and upper chambers, will continue to check mate his satanic administration and finally throw him out of Lugard House in 2019.
