Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho has once again reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development following the renovation, test-running, and official handover of the Acharu Palm Oil Mill to the host community for productive use and economic benefit.
The handing-over ceremony drew a cross-section of the community, including His Royal Highness Simon Ochimana, the Onu Egume, alongside Gagos, youth leaders, and other prominent members of the community.
Representing the Senator at the event, Honourable Okpanachi Abubakar Yakubu assured residents of Senator Echocho’s continued support, reaffirming the lawmaker’s commitment to improving the welfare and economic wellbeing of his constituents.
Speaking at the occasion, community leader Dr. Etuh Sunday commended Senator Echocho for his consistent support and responsiveness to the needs of the community. He described the renovation and commissioning of the palm oil mill as a valuable intervention that will significantly boost local economic development and create fresh opportunities for residents.
Dr. Etuh also pledged his total support for Senator Echocho’s political ambition, assuring him of the community’s continued goodwill, encouragement, and backing.
In turn, the community expressed appreciation to Senator Echocho for the gesture and pledged to ensure the proper utilisation, maintenance, and sustainability of the facility for the benefit of both present and future generations.
The event was further enlivened by musical entertainment, which added colour and excitement to the occasion.
