The Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District and chairman Senate committee on FCT, Senator Dino Melaye on Wednesday visited the various camps where the flood victims are presently occupying, to sympathise with them and to give relief materials to them.
Melaye who provided food items for the victims of the devastating flooding in some parts of the western senatorial district of Kogi state as part of his intervention.
Melaye Moved by the plight of the victims who are his constituents, visited their camps physically to see to their welfare. He has therefore decided to take swift action in meeting the immediate needs of the flood victims.
Senator Dino Melaye however pay homage to the Ohimege of Koton Karfe, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrasak Isa Koto in his pace. He described the royal father as a father who truly love his people.
“Our Royal father is a compassionate traditional leader, well connected” He commended him for maintaining peace in his community and beyond.
The legislator promised to extend the same gesture to the people of Budan in Lokoja local government, which is equally part of his constituency.
He prayed for long life, peace and prosperity in Koton Karfi and beyond as long as his majesty continue to reign.
