Away from politics, three-term Senator Smart Adeyemi, once again, has demonstrated that he is a cheerful giver.
Less than 200 days after the expiration of his third tenure in the National Assembly, Senator Adeyemi has donated education materials to Jege High School, Jege in Yagba East Local Government, Kogi State.
The donation was leaked to the public by the President of Jege Development Association (JDA), Oluomo Jimoh Akogun.
JHS is wholly owned and run by the community and JDA.
The items include 80 basic science tech and computer science for Junior Secondary School (JSS3) and 80 basic science tech for Junior Secondary School (JSS2).
Others are 80 Basic science/ tech and 70 copies of computer science for JS1, 80 copies of computer science for JS2, 80 copies of basic mathematics for JS3, hardcover and higher exercise books, biros, reward for honesty and bad influence, workbook for English learning and mathematics.
The materials were estimated to cost N2.5m.
The School’s Administrator, Chief Tunde Ejemu who took delivery of the materials confirmed that they were delivered intact.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the school’s management, students, parents and the entire Jege community to Senator Adeyemi for the kind gesture.
JDA President, Oluomo Jimoh Akogun in a brief post on the social media, described Adeyemi as a cheerful giver, thanking him for remembering Jege community.
Senator Smart Adeyemi was a member of the 6th, 7th and the 9th National Assembly.
