The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr. (Dr) Abubakar Sadiq Ohere has enjoined media aides from the twenty one local governments in the state to up their game by going ahead to shut critics up with projects executed by Governor Bello led New Direction government.
Engr. Ohere stated this at a sensitization/awareness retreat organised for media aides from the 21 local governments in the state.
Engr. Abubakar Ohere maintained that, Governor Bello has done tremendously well towards the development of the state especially in the areas of security, infrastructural development, civil service reforms, provision of portable water, agricultural revolution and youth/women empowerment.
Based on the foregoing, he charged the participants to dominate the media space and change the negative narratives planted in the media by opposition elements.
He noted that Gov. Bello’s projects cut across the entire 21 local governments and the people deserve the rights to be informed adequately.
Engr. Ohere gave the assurance of providing the requisite working tools and other logistics that will enhance their functionalities.
The Special Adviser in charge of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs assured of a resounding victory for Governor Yahaya Bello by November as his projects will no doubt speak for him.
He commended the Council Administrators for establishing a formidable media team in their respective local governments.
