Says action is careless, inhuman.
The member representing Idah Federal constituency, David Idris Zacharias has condemned in its entirety, the gruesome murder of one Ibrahim Akor, a business man in Ejule Community of Ofu local government area of Kogi State by suspected armed robbers.
Zacharias in a message made available to journalists in Abuja by his Chief Press Secretary, Jeremiah Ocheme, described the murder of Ibrahim who is known for his butcher business within the community as inhuman, heartless, senseless, careless and a total disrespect for the sacredness of human life.
Zacharias said he received with shock the news of Ibrahim’s murder which happened at the early hours of Saturday morning where the assailants killed him and made away with yet to be known amount of money from his house believed to be proceeds of his butcher business.
The lawmaker sympathizes with his heavily pregnant wife, his immediate family and the entire Ejule community for the unfortunate development which has befallen the community.
He called on the Police Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ejule and other Security Agencies within the Federal constituency and Ejule in particular, to immediately swing into action with the view of arresting and punishing the perpetrators.
He charged traditional leaders in all the communities within the Federal Constituency to be vigilant now than ever and take note of strange faces and movement in and around the community, adding that this incident must not be swept under the carpet.
While assuring the family of the slain businessman of his determination to assist the Police fish out the murderers, Zacharias call on the family to bear the unprepared and untimely lose of Ibrahim Akor.
