The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Kogi State chapter, has described the removal of fuel subsidy as a daylight robbery.
The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Haddi Ametuo, said this on Wednesday while addressing newsmen at the party secretariat.
He said it was better for President Goodluck Jonathan to resign from office because he had brought untold hardship to the people of Nigeria.
According to him, Jonathan’s style is not different from that of military men. He added by querying, “how can he take a decision without approval from the National Assembly?”
Ametuo further noted that the president had failed the people in every sphere of life, saying that the Boko Haram issue was another strong indication that Jonathan was no longer in charge.
He, therefore, called on Nigerians to resist the fuel subsidy removal because it is only the poor that would face hardship.
