The Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Police Command, has announced that medical screening for successful candidates in the ongoing 2020 recruitment exercise will hold from November 23 to December 6.

In a statement issued by Police public relations officer, DSP William Ovye Aya, in Lokoja on Sunday said the medical screening will be conducted at the Police Clinic, Newlayout, Lokoja.

Aya said all candidates from Kogi State who participated in the recently concluded computer-based test (CBT) should check their application status on recruitment portal, www.policerecruitment.gov.ng.

According to the statement, “candidates are to appear at the screening venue in their clean white T-shirts and shorts with the following mandatory requirements: National Identity Card/Slip, printout of medical screening slip (as obtained from the portal).”

Candidates are equally advised to stick to their allotted date and time as the exercise would be carried out in strict compliance with the COVID-19 prevention protocols.

Aya added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Idrisu Dauda Dabban, reiterated that the recruitment exercise is absolutely free of charge.

“The CP assures that the medical screening will be conducted in the best tradition of transparency and professionalism. He advises the applicants not to allow themselves to be swindled by online fraudsters and other criminal elements, who might want to take advantage of the recruitment process to defraud innocent applicants. The CP warns that anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted.

“Candidates are advised to call 08100004507 for any inquiry especially on the operations of the portal.”
