August 16th, a hired political/ media Herdsmen whose intellect has been on holiday was paid by the “11th hour” Abuja clowns to sponsor a drivel at the person of two times Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Distinguished Sen. Smart Adeyemi, Commander, Order of the Niger, CON.

The undertone was simple:
His personality became a fulcrum of attacks because of his statesmanship decision to align with the New Direction Government of His Excellency, the White Lion of Okene, the slayer of greedy politicians-installers of tribalism, ethnocentrism and religious craft, who are enablers of gerontocracy while empowering the youths with thuggery, Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The intellectually hemorrhaging pen-man admitted in the opening line of his sponsored article that the Journalist turned politician who graduated properly from the university and served as the President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, before climbing into the red chamber as “revered and astute” politician, “loved by his people while the youths looked up to him”. These are very strong adjectives scantily used for politicians in our clime. Amazingly, a traducer of the Ijumu born Okun Senator had written it boldly on his personality without questioning.
In the second line of his indomie article, the writer opined that Senator Smart Adeyemi was “beaten” by Sen. Dino Melaye , AKA, Ajekun Iya Artist when he tried to run for the third time. The reality-evasive writer attempted mortgaging history on the altar of political mansory, but we won’t “tekit”. It is on record that Sen. Smart never lost his election at Okun land. Across many polling units, he won in an avalanche of acceptability while his opponent stowaway in victory by committing a primary-election-coup and dipping his hands into voter-dribbling outside Okun land to win, which was covered by the tsunami that came with President Buhari’s effect on the 2015 ballot boxes. In fact, Buhari ran the election of many Senators in Nigeria. The ones who now betray the platforms on which they rode to power because of their lack in integrity, desperation for power and lost of goodwill of their people.
Senator Smart has never been a serial decampee. He was not prostituting politically. He is not even a political orphan who has never been accepted anywhere he went. He had never blacklisted people and platforms which he has ever benefited from in time past, neither has he released an album to elevate his socially clownish state. Ask Nigerians, we know the politicians who are skillful in this art. They would tell you before you ask.
How can Smart not decamp? He decamped because he has seen an atmosphere of vision and youthful energy characteristic of the New Direction Government. Even if people argue that the PDP and APC are the same, can they also argue that the people in PDP in other states are the same with the people in APC in Kogi state?
What has light got to do with darkness? Senator Smart moves with light, he cannot remain in the dark when he sees others who carry light. Even the Bible says, “the spirit beareth witness”. Without drama and media noise, he joined the moving team.
Tacitly in character, he has been deeply immersed in the activities of the New Direction Government, emptying all his experience and serving as “friends in progress” to this calling. He is not on Twitter, neither is he a laid-by sideline politician who is scared of siding with his position but writing Press Releases to congratulate the victories of others when they could participate in the process.
At the Kogi Unity House fund raising, chaired by incoming Kogi East Senator, Dr. Isah Jibrin Echocho, he donated the sum of 6 million naira to push the Igala project. Can this not only be done by people who carry light?
In the spirit of another “Isah”. The recently concluded Lokoja/Koto Bye Elections had Senator Smart deeply immersed in the process because that constituency is also part of his Kogi West Senatorial district. He joined the army of political prodigies and experienced nationalists who delivered Alh. Isah Haruna to replace the demised former reps member, Buba Jibrin while his contemporaries were on twitter and Facebook voting from their social media polling unit while coasting home with “11 hours” victory.
How can anyone say this Okun born Senator has fallen from Grace? Only people whose reality is on holiday. We would deport them to reality in the coming days.
At the middle line of that article, the writer also opined that Sen. Smart in his desperate move to “steal” a mandate that no longer belongs to him is hobnobbing with Gov. Bello. One would wonder if Senatorial seats are now “stolen”. Don’t people vote through the ballot boxes? If those who sponsored the hired media goon are anything to go by, it validates my earlier assertion of their stowaway into the red chamber by electoral fraud and party primary coup. If not, how can someone who intends to vie for office be “stealing” it when votes are to be cast?
Jittery. They are afraid. Afraid is catching them. Their homes is in the afraid.
Why are they scared? Capacity and his ruggedity. His has a proven network of structures across the two main political parties. He is not a baby politician. Na their mate? Baba has been on ground since 2000 and sontin.
If If by chance, Sen. Smart is returned Senator for the third time, he would a “principal” officer of the senate, which is an advantageous position favorable for Kogi state as the high powered red chamber involves mechanics of experience and political lobbying. Baby politicians like the ones in Abuja and the other aspiring ones cannot hold that capacity and recognition. We know this. They know this.
They also called Smart an “errand boy of Yahaya Bello”. Do you now understand why he is a statesman? Gov. Bello is the Governor of Kogi State just like President Muhammdu Buhari is the President of Nigeria. If a two term Senator can liquidate “arrogance” in a bid to join force as a partner in progress to the youngest Governor in Nigeria, that is humility personified. Does that not mean he would be accessible? Open to the young and old. Open to the weak and strong. In all, humble in dealing with his constituency members?
Out of the abundance of the mind, actions speak.
They also managed to rope in the intellectual-power horse of the New Direction estate, Chief Edward Onoja in order to masturbate their clownish nature. This one is a settled nature, “shoe get size”. We won’t go there until they try to touch his sterling personality.
Lastly, I would mention their attempt to attack the personality of Mr. Adekunle David, a former Personal Assistant of Hon. Sunday Karimi who has now decamped to the APC on the shoulders of Senator Smart Adeyemi. They started crying like a drunkard praying for his hangover to go away when they said Sen Smart has been luring members of PDP to his camp.
Isn’t that capacity? Senator Smart has friends, loyalists and influence across both political groups which is the PDP which he has been for more than 8 years and now APC which he is getting solidarity followership of others joining him. It is painful, I understand to see someone catwalking effortlessly into political victory. I can only imagine what would come when the real election happens on us. Maybe their wives would also decamp to the camp of Senator Smart based on historical impacts in their lives which is beyond what the stingy marauders in Abuja who don’t even visit their constituents have and can ever do.
Conclusively, we are singing “ Adekunle David has seen the light o. Na New Direction be di light o. Na APC be di party o. Abuja politicians go di vex o”.
