I read with indignation an obviously sponsored post with the above caption and is constrained to respond in view of the fallacy and gross misrepresentation  contained therein.

Not only is this report filled with fallacy, it is based as it were in the febrile imaginations of those persons by whom it is being peddled. It is for this reason that I find it necessary to speak out where otherwise I would have continued to watch on in silent amusement.

For the avoidance of doubt, the circumstances that led to the relocation of Zango from Kabba to Iyara is public knowledge and happened long before Hon. Taofiq Isah was appointed Ijumu Local Government Administrator. It was an arrangement between Iyara Community and the Hausa/Fulani cattle traders.

The peaceful coexistence enjoyed so far is proof of the hospitality of Iyara as a Community notwithstanding inevitable conflicts and misunderstandings that have been amicably resolved with the intervention of security agencies and the Local Council.

It is obvious that the author of the post and his sponsors are pathetically ignorant of what the ‘Riga Scheme’ is all about. What we have in Iyara is a cattle market with amenities for convenience.

Iyara Community has no ‘Ruga’ and any insinuation suggesting same is not only misleading but mischievous and should be disregarded in all ramifications. The amusing but disgusting depth some people are prepared to descend to appear relevant is rather unfortunate.

The Ijumu Ruga post is a puerile attempt to mislead and will fail because it distorts the plain truth. While the headline is sensational it is also senseless because it is not grounded in fact.

Alh. Taofiq Isah is advised to call his aides to order as this latest attempt to score cheap political gains is an exercise in futility.

It is the blatant spewing of structured propaganda rooted in falsehood that is capable of brewing crisis.

Iyara Community has no Ruga or anything similar to it. The public is therefore urged to disregard any misrepresentation to that effect.
