The greatest disservice to a race, tribe and humanity is when the literates are no longer privy to sound and basic information that will drive the society because of their self serving, self centred position on issues that we don’t need a soothsayer to analyse or divulge.

When I read through this piece written by one Alhaji Ilyasu, I know he is one of the apologists of Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji (DVAA). He is like Omachi Isaac Achor, whose material commitment and survival strategy lies with their paymaster. Why not? This category of youths who believed Kogi East election is only won in Anyigba and its environs had made a living from DVAA through misinformation, to the extent that they are now car owners, a sharp movement from okada owners. But the issue at hand have gone beyond self development, but societal upliftment.

In his write up, he only succeeded in indicting himself with his rash analysis against the precedence and history available to us for public consumption.

If not for DVAA and his followers that believe nobody is good, perfect, fine and deserved to be installed bereft of other considerations, may be for uncoordinated “Big Grammars”, I don’t know anywhere in the world where experience are played down at the expense of any”Fine boy” in politics.

Well, whether they like it or not, membership of the National Assembly adhered strictly to “Ranking” clearly even at the sitting arrangements and all other activities in NASS.

In fact, for the purpose of clarity, “Ranking Status” is a corollary to all the programs of the legislative arm of government, as Ignorance had beclouded the uncoordinated analysis of the writer to drive home his minority position.

Look, let’s call a spade a spade, It is not all about DVAA, Atai Aidoko Ali, Amade Edime, Abdulrahman Abubakar, Alfa and others, the race for Kogi East senate seat this time is about people that are most qualified and “Ranking”. Senator Aidoko is the most qualified Igala son, desired at this point in time, using all parameters.

The soul of Igala race lies in the return of Senator Aidoko. To return to the senate in February, not about Atai Aidoko Ali himself, but the political, economic and social implications of doing otherwise will be grievous and not tenable.

I challenged the writer to once again peruse his piece, as all the people mentioned in his essay had ranking status like Senator Aidoko, but for an average Igala, the reverse is always the case.

For the purpose of clarity, Senator Aidoko had a ranking status, beginning from his sojourn in 2003 as member of the House of Representatives and later the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The writer is the original deceptor of Igala/Bassa race and not those canvassing for the return of Kogi East senator, Atai Aidoko Ali.

It is on record that the first timers at the National Assembly only formed membership of committees and adhoc ones, but had not chaired any of this body, by appointment or accident.

Senator Aidoko was Chairman, House Committee on FCT in 2004, Chairman Senate committee on Navy in 2011 and now Chairman Senate committee on SDGs, a position that made him “Ranking”naturally and lawfully.
