It has come to my attention, the fallacious stories spreading through the Internet like an epidemic which was masterminded by some hungry and uncultured fame-seeking bloggers to draw a rift between His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and Hon. Victor Omofaiye.
These regressive unprofessional bloggers and overnight journalists had wrongfully accused the Governor for abandoning his trusted ally, Hon Omofaiye, thereby causing him to step down his ambition of running for the position of the House of Representative. His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a true democrat with an exceptional leadership style that has made the likes of Hon Omofaiye and other political figures within and outside Kogi State remain loyal and look up to him as a role model.
Hon. Omofaiye, as you all know is a peaceful and very progressive party loyalist who has always considered the plights of the simple majority and the progress of his party(APC) as being paramount, as against his self interest. He believes that the interest of the party is supreme.
His decision to step out of the race was borne out of his respect for the opinion of the elders/stakeholders of the party, as it has been unanimously agreed upon that he should return to continue the good job he is doing at the Kogi State House of Assembly for a 2nd Term in 2019, while the position of the House of Representative should be zoned to our brothers in Bunu for the sake of equity, considering that our Leader Distinguish Sen. Smart Adeyemi from Ijumu Local Government is vying for the senatorial seat.
Hon. Omofaiye whom all through the struggle made love, peace and unity his watchwords irrespective of the outcome, has decided to stick to his preachings by accepting the decision of the elders in good faith. He is committed to delivering all Party flag bearer at the forth coming elections. Politics is not a do or die affair, we sometimes step-down individual interest for the greater good.
God bless Kogi State.
Comrade Prime Abubakar.
Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye.
Chief Whip Kogi State House of Assembly.
