Kogi Good Governance Forum has totally condemned the purported suspension of Hon. Salihu Adaviriku as the Executive Chairman of Adavi Local Government Area.

According to a statement made to our correspondent by the president and General Secretary of the Forum Engr. Mohammed Adeiza Bello and Comrade Yakubu Suleiman respectively, the Forum frowned at the purported suspension of the Chairman who has been seen as the pillar of Peace and an Agent of Transformation in the LGA.

The Forum make bold to say that Hon. Salihu Adaviriku has performed very well in office, going by the numbers of outstanding projects commissioned by Governor Idris Wada during his THANK YOU TOUR to Local Government Areas accross the state.

The Forum gathered that part of the reasons for the purported suspension of the Chairman has to do with the demands of the Legislators such as Furniture and wardrobe allowances; and from our investigations, we discovered that these demands are receiving the attention of the council chairman as its implementation has since commenced.

In another related development, we gathered that Hon. Salihu ADAVIRIKU has been 100% compliant in the implementation of GOV. WADA’s directives that council chairmen should pay full salary to LGA Workers.

The Forum viewed the purported suspension as a mockery of democracy as the same Legislators recently pass a vote of confidence on the Chairman which was expressly published in KOGI GRAPHICS NEWSPAPER,  page 3 of Wednesday July 23-29 2014 edition.

Let us states clearly that the amount of time so far spent in office by Hon. Salihu Adaviriku as chairman of Adavi LGA giving his outstanding performance today cannot be compared with his colleagues who were LIAISON OFFICER 1 of their respective LGAs for almost a year before the Council elections.

The Forum urged the Legislators to join hands with the chairman as he reposition the LGA for greater developmental strides. We also want to add that his activities has showed his unalloyed loyalty to Gov. Wada and his Transformation Agenda for Kogi State; which our forum is very proud of.

Finally, we urge our council Legislators not to allow themselves to be used to truncate the prevailing peace and progress we are presently enjoying in Ebirra Land; giving our immediate past history.

GOD BLESS ADAVI LGA

GOD BLESS KOGI CENTRAL SEN. DISTRICT

GOD BLESS KOGI STATE
