Rabiu Alfa Calls on All Stakeholders to Key-in For The Peace and Development of Ankpa

The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State house of assembly, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has called on all sons and daughters of Ankpa Local government to key into programmes that will bring about peace and development to Ankpa Local government area. He made the call while making his contribution at a town hall meeting organized by the Ankpa Progressive Forum as a session with political appointees, elected officials, Royal fathers and all stakeholders in Ankpa.

In his words, he said “the  time  has  come  for  us  to  put  aside  personal  interests  and work  in  unison  for the overall  development  of  Ankpa  local  government”. Speaking further he said “I  call  on  all  sons  and  daughters  to  rise  up  to this  challenge  of  ensuring  we  take  our  rightful  position  among  committee  of  local governments  or  history  will  hold  us  responsible  of  failure  to  make  the  land  better than  we  met  it”.

In his opening remarks, the national chairman of Ankpa Progressive Forum, Barr Tony Omali noted that the forum is purely after the progress, development and the well being of Ankpa Local government and not for any partisan purpose or promotion of any political interest urging all guests to be modest in their speeches and remarks. He stressed further on the need for all hands to be in deck for the development of the area.

The event which was chaired by Engr Abbas Yakubu had in attendance many illustrious sons and daughters of Ankpa both at home and in diaspora among whom are Alh Baba Muhammed, the Madaki of Ejeh Ankpa and patron of the APF, Hon Hassan Omale, the member representing Ankpa federal constituency, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim, the administrator of Ankpa Local government, Alh Shaibu Usman, the acting Ejeh of Ankpa, Col A A Usman, a former Milad of Ondo state.

Also in attendance were HRH Alhaji AbdulMalik Umar, the onuh Ankpa, HRH Alhaji Muhammed Alfa, the Onu-Ojoku, Hon Ahmed Mohammed, deputy majority leader and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency at the Kogi State house of assembly, Hon Seidu Usman, Kogi State Commissioner for Commerce, Alh Alih Yakubu Concern and a host of others.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of scorecard by all elected officers from the area during which Hon(s) Hassan Omale, Ahmed Mohamed and he (Alfa Mommoh Rabiu) presented their score cards. In further developments, the administrator of Ankpa Local government,  Hon Muhammed Ibrahim and Commissioner for commerce, Hon Seidu Usman were also granted the floor to speak.
