“Prof Pius Adesanmi, your sudden and tragic exit at prime age, when the world is not yet done with your contribution to humanity is most painful. Your death in the ill fated Ethopian Airline crash along with all passengers and crew last Sunday, leaves a deep wound on many that know you, read your literary work, were taught or mentored by you, heard of you or read about you. It a sad reminder of the vanity of life.

“While it is wished that people are celebrated in their life time, often this is not so, because of the precinct expectation for a better tomorrow, which as human we do not have full control over.
“You left an indelible mark on the sand of time, for a long time. Your death is a great loss to Okunland, your home in Kogi state and the state; Nigeria; Africa and the literary world generally.
“If only we can turn back the hand of the clock, you would acknowledge how much you are loved and celebrated, across the globe.
“You live on, your work and attribute convey volumes and tonnes of knowledge, they lives on. Rest on in the bossom of our creator,” he wrote.
