The senatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi Central in the last National Assembly elections, Barr. Natasha Akpoti has embarked on reconstruction of her supporters’ houses that were burnt during the campaign period by suspected APC thugs.
The female senatorial candidate had earlier replaced five motorcycles belonging to her supporters that were burnt by the suspected APC thugs during the campaign and followed it by reconstructing all her supporters’ houses that were burnt during the campaign period.
In a post on her social media timeline, Akpoti disclosed that she embarked on the reconstruction of the burnt houses of her supporters as part of her promise to replace and renew all vandalised properties during the campaign.
“As we promised our beloved SDP supporters who suffered severe damages in the hands of APC Kogi sponsored thugs groomed by Okehi Administrator Abdulraheem Ohiare under the directives of Yahaya Bello; we have commenced their reconstruction.
“For the dream of a new Kogi Central that we share, we promise to make these houses more beautiful than they were before the damage.
“When you know where you are going to, the heart stays happy in the toughest of storms.
“Thank you so much my efficient and progressive SDP family. Ovidi Ovidi Forward. Love always,” she wrote.
