In a passionate plea, Princess Folashade Salami Soetan emphasized the critical need for unity among the Okun people, stressing that disunity has long hindered the development and progress of Okunland. She lamented the numerous opportunities squandered due to a lack of cooperation and unhealthy rivalry among the elite in both political and business spheres.
Recognizing the detrimental impact of this longstanding issue, Princess Soetan highlighted the inception of the Okun Ambassadors initiative, aimed at fostering and promoting unity across Okunland. She called upon the Okun Development Association (ODA) to play a pivotal role in bridging gaps between communities and spearheading programs and projects that will cultivate a culture of unity and cooperation.

Princess Soetan’s appeal underscores the urgent need for collective action to overcome the challenges that have stifled Okunland’s growth. By prioritizing unity and cooperation, the Okun people can unlock their full potential and drive meaningful development. The ODA, as a key stakeholder, is well-positioned to lead this charge and create initiatives that promote a sense of shared purpose and belonging among Okun sons and daughters.
As Okunland navigates its development journey, Princess Soetan’s message serves as a timely reminder of the importance of unity in achieving collective success. By working together and putting aside differences, the Okun people can harness their collective strength to build a brighter future for themselves and future generations.
