The Attah Igala and chairman of Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs, Dr. Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni has blamed politicians for some of the security challenges bedeviling the state.
Attah, who spoke in his palace at Idah during a stakeholders meeting on security, urged the political class to desist from overheating the polity in the interest of peace and security of the state.
“The act of maintaining peace and order in a society is not solely the responsibility of the security agencies, individual and even corporate organizations have vital roles to play in making the society a better place for living”, he said.
Earlier, the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who was represented by the Special Adviser on local government and chieftaincy affairs, Engr, Abubakar Ohere urged the traditional institution to support government in the maintenance of peace and order.
