Kogi State Police Command has said that one of the escapees from Kotokarfe Prison break was responsible for the murder of Kogi State University lecturer, Professor Justice Otitolaye.

The command, however, said it had begun a manhunt for the killer of the lecturer and would soon apprehend same to face justice.

The Police Public Relations officer, Elvis Aguebor, who disclosed this yesterday in his office, said the police had spread out their tentacles in the manhunt for the lecturer’s killers.

He alleged that the lecturer was killed by the criminal, who escaped from recent Kotokarfe prison break, where 144 inmates were set free.

He said: “The criminals first attacked the police formation at Ibro Suite at Ayingba, with explosives and guns before abducting and killing the lecturer.”
